Vitamin K1, also known as phytomenadione, chloromenadione, chloroquinone, chemically known as 2-methyl-3-phytyl-1, 4-naphthoquinone, is a polycyclic aromatic ketone, a fat-soluble vitamin that is stable to air and humidity, but is broken down in sunlight. It is widely found in natural green plants.
Vitamin K1 powder comes in three forms: phylloquinone, menaquinone, and menadione. Phylloquinone, or K1, is found in green leafy vegetables, and helps bones absorb and store calcium. One recent study showed that increased amounts of vitamin K in the diet might lower the risk of hip fracture; over time, a shortage of vitamin K could lead to osteoporosis. Menaquinone, or K2, is manufactured in the body by naturally occurring intestinal bacteria. People that regularly take antibiotics or have a medical condition that upsets the balance of bacteria in the intestine are at risk of developing a vitamin K deficiency. Menadione, or vitamin K3, is an artificial form of vitamin K, which is water soluble and more easily absorbed by people who have problems with fat absorption.
1. Dairy products: vitamin K1 powder is widely used in dairy products, such as milk, yogurt, cheese and so on. It can enhance the nutritional value of dairy products, improve the quality of products and market competitiveness.
2. Grain and oil products: in grain and oil products, such as bread, biscuits, pastries, etc., adding appropriate amount of vitamin K1 powder can enrich the nutritional composition of the product and meet the needs of consumers for healthy food.
3. Meat products: vitamin K1 powder is also used in the processing of meat products, such as sausage, ham, lunch meat, etc. It can improve the nutritional value of meat products while maintaining the color and taste of the product.
4. Functional food: With people's pursuit of healthy life, functional food market is gradually rising. As a natural nutritional fortifier, vitamin K1 powder is widely used in functional foods, such as health care products and nutritional supplements, to meet the needs of consumers for health care.
